ST480 Pedal or Key Start?
Hey guys. I kinda feel like a dummy with this question. I have a 2002 ST480 with briggs 16hp. When I turn the key on, the starter gen kicks right in without pressing the pedal. It does start like this but it is constantly running. Im pretty sure that it is supposed to engage/start when the key is on and you press the pedal just like all other ezgo gas carts? A little help here please. seems like the pedal has been bypassed. Thanks guys!

Yes 480s should start like the rest of them, with the pedal, it could be wired wrong, a bad micro switch under the pedal or a linkage adjustment problem...I would start by adjusting a little more slack in the throttle linkage, see if that does it.
