Post Advice on driveshaft modification/adapter?

I have a Yamaha g2 gold cart. Put a predator 420 into it. Also ordered a torque converter and sprocket to get it to run.

My problem now is the transmission output shaft is tapered and my new sprocket isn’t. Any ideas on how to make that shaft straight? Or is there a place I’m not seeing to buy tapered adapters or tapered sprockets?

Is this a gas cart? Did it originally have clutches and a drive belt? With a Predator engine I would use a Comet 780 drive clutch and the stock driven clutch with a new belt.

Yes it is a gas golf cart. I thought about that comment clutch just wanted to see if there was a possibility to use the things I already had which seems to me to not be a possibility.

Maybe convert to live axle? Or would the comment clutch just be the best option?

Maybe pictures would help. What you’re describing isn’t making sense in my brain.

Best option is the oem secondary (driven) clutch and either a comet or cvtech primary (drive) clutch. But I don’t know what you’re talking about with sprockets and driveshafts, awful lot of extra unnecessary work if the cart started life as a gas cart
