Fitting of a Plowman's muffler for a G1
I recently purchased a new muffler/exhaust for my Yamaha G1 from Plowman's. It doesn't want to slip onto the exhaust nut ring all the way. I've tried it on two different nut rings and having no luck. Has anyone else had any problems with this? Thanks for any input.

Re: Fitting of a Plowman's muffler for a G1
unless your using the 82 J17 flange, his exhuast should fit perfectly
Most 82 flanges/manifolds do not have the flap in the exhuast. check for a weld burr or something |

Re: Fitting of a Plowman's muffler for a G1
I've tried it on both types of flanges and it doesn't slip on like the old mufflers. This one has the butterfly. I don't want to put too much force on it to get it on. I'm going to sand on it some this weekend. Thanks.
