Precedent light kit
Looking to buy this kit for 2008 precedent but have a couple of concerns:
http://cgi.ebay.com/CLUB-CAR-PRECEDE...item2311e419f7 1. My local dealer wants $320 for the kit and installation. Is it hard to install? I hate to pay someone to do something if I can do it myself. 2. I am terrible at doing things myself. Should I be able to install this this without blowing up the golf cart? |

Re: Precedent light kit
well your signature kinda says it all don,t it.........anytime you work on an elec. cart if your not sure what your doing theres a chance of doing other damage......if a dealer wants 320.00 for the lights and install i can,t why you can,t buy the light kit and pay someone other than dealer to install it...........if your gonna try at least buy the service manual to guide you along with safety issues.........from what i read it seems all the lights should plug right into your harness if thats the case you should be able to find someone and pay them like 50.00 just make sure they are filmilar with elec. golf carts beforehand.................................

I believe that Shadowman is hinting that when in doubt... don't... or you can cause more damage to your cart then the price asked by your CC dealer. Besides, that kit on eBay is not factory... it's aftermarket which could mean even more brain damage to install. |

Re: Precedent light kit
Don't be afraid to try it. I just installed a similar kit on my 05 Precedent and it was easy if you can follow instructions, read a tape measure and don't mind drilling holes in your toys! That ebay dealer is also a site sponsor so the parts should be legit. No cutting or wire splicing necessary it plugs right in to your existing harness as long as its newer than a 08 model. Only took about 30 min. and this was my first install.
