removed the plate the only thing underneath is a solid steel rod. in the rear over the differential is a throttle cable which I adjusted the slack out of and is set to just before the rev limiter. Above that is another cable which is connected to the front switch for forward neutral and reverse. Near the carb is a cable but that is for the choke. There is also a screw which I believe is for the idle. Suggestions?

Can you take a picture of the parts? I'm sorry but I'm not to familiar with the Kawasaki engine, all the carts around here are electrics, and the few gassers are robins.

I saw a previous posting for a smaller belt and 28 degree clutch. Does my cart have the 28 degree clutch and what belt do I need to get to help. I have it with a cart mechanic who mentioned it but they typically work on electric.

I have a 91' marathon 2 stroke and I took a dremel to the inside of the intake tube ground all the rough spots down and then I sanded it smooth and polished it.
It seamed to make a small difference nothing too big but somthing is better than nothing. I'm not sure if it will work on your setup but it's worth a shot.

the 28 clutch is not for speed it is for torque.
the 36 is for speed not for torque.

can you tell a dif b/t the 2, prob not.

your cart should already have the HD shorter belt.

It appears to have some slack. Maybe I need to save up for a vanguard.

there will be some slack on the belt so the eng will start.

but these belts wear on their sides. they get narrower. you may want to measure your belt and see ifs it too narrow. i am not sure new belt width, but i know its on here somewhere.
