Default 09 precident (PD) charging

Can I use a power drive charger vs the power drive 3 charger on this 09 cart? Any big difference between these 2 charging systems? (other than size).

I'm pretty sure you can. I use an old power drive on my '07, and it works great! The OBC does all the important stuff, and it's in the cart.

Thx! I live in Viera as well! Hope to see u around, I'd love to check out your set up, 30mph cart would be so sweet!

So I'm guessing the only difference between the chargers is size...I'm told the older chargers are better and more expensive than the newer smaller ones. Don't know if there is any truth to that.

jstar,

We now have a total of 3 people on this site from this area!

We were planning on meeting at Beef's soon, you should join us!

Read the sticky on the power drive chargers. I read (somewhere), that the newer ones offer a float charge, but I'm not sure. Also, some power drives, will add charge every two weeks, if your cart is not being used. My cart can't sit still for 2 days, so I can't confirm that.

Are you east or west? We live just south of manatee, two blocks from JFJ.

You should have no problem selling it, not too many for sale by individuals.
