Re: 295 Rebuild
Well boys and girls she's up and running!! Whoot!!! Finally!! It took awhile with everything else going on around here.
Had the cylinders cleaned up and it actually didn't need bored at all! Still factory measurements! She runs like a champ! Smoked Real bad at first for about 30 minutes or so getting the rings to set in. Used some engine pre lube with moly graphite on the cylinder walls and I think it just took alittle while to burn that off. Doesn't hardly smoke at all now. Does anyone know the proper way to break these engines in?? Certain RPM for awhile and change every now and then?? Should get some pics of the engine loaded after a bit. Didn't get it to look as good as Ur's Crash but its clean and back to running! Thanks for everybody's help! This is the best site around!! |
