Default Gas to electric conversion?

I am new to the forum. I keep seeing posts about electric to gas and google search only comes up with that too. Does no one convert, gas to electric?
I am looking at getting an older gas cart for real cheap, but I would like to convert it to electric. Would I still be better off getting an electric cart? My only thing about buying a used electric is you don't know about the motor or batteries. This would be a new motor and batteries. I would probably go with lithium batteries too. Any suggestions?

The reason it is easier to start with a electric cart, is because you would need alot of the things --- list,,

you need

electric wiring harness

charger receptacle for the cart body

new charger

batteries

controller

solenoid

F/R switch and handle and shift rod, and mounting bracket

electric rear end

electric motor

a whole battery cable set

key switch

heat sink for the controller

battery rack for the batteries

and i'm sure i missed some things, but it cant be done, just a lot easier to start with a electric cart

Buy the Gasser, spend enough to make it useable, sell it,and you have more cash for what you really want.

Luke, don't want to start a battle here, but other than the noise issue, a gas car does everything better. I wouldn't ever understand why you would want to change.

One weekend not long ago, I drove around 90 miles with my gas cart. Thats close to a full tank.

The part I find hard to swallow on Electric-Carts is the price of batteries. They go bad,you have no cheap fix.A Gasser blows an engine,it can be fixed or replaced pretty cheap if you can do the work yourself like myself and others do.
