Default Re: don't have a freakin' clue

when you push the pedal nothing happens...like the battery has been removed, thought the switch might be bad but it checked out ok and when i crossed the solinoid the battery had plenty of juice to turn the motor over so i figured it was the wiring between the pedal and the solinoid. i'll check some stuff out today and let you know.

Most of them have a white/red wire. Power goes to key then pedal then back to coil/ignitor/solenoid. You should he able to test that for 12v right at the coil/ignitor/solenoid pretty sure they are all same wire right there by gas tank below the pump. If you have 12v when the pedal is pressed and key on, then something like the solenoid is not working. But, beware these carts great as they are.....are notorious for wiring issues and bad connections. Most have had the connectors replaced on the solenoid for that, so look and check for connection issues before you replace anything. Given the age of these carts its no surprise. Remember everything has a negative wire too you need to test also. Wiring is fairly simple really, diagrams are posted up in sticky posts. The other circuit is the battery cables only needed for starting power, battery to solenoid to generator and back to battery. The VR runs on the little wires on the side of the gen to power the field and make it charge when needed. There is a power wire to the reverse switch on the shifter to run the buzzer...not much other wiring on the cart really.
