Re: lifted handling issues
My wife thinks I should trade it off because of the hadling issues and shes afraid some one(kid) would fall off the back . Have an offer for a stock club car 3 years newer with 13hp but it dosen't have lights I'm considering it. I told you so factor is intering into equation. Are the light kits har to install?
It's really a cool looking cart and I hate to get rid of it. Cheers Scott |

Re: lifted handling issues
Hate to see you get rid of a Yamaha but it's your choice. You could install seatbelts on the rear seat to keep the kids buckled in.

Re: lifted handling issues
It's tracking fairly well now but if you hit a bump it gets a little irratic.
Still dosen't feel right. Don't see any thing thats bent no play in the wheels. a little play in the steering wheel but not much . tires look new is it possible they are out of round? Thanks Scott |

Re: lifted handling issues
That sounds like "bump steer" you might need to install a spacer block on top of your steering link (near the wheels) to level out you tie rods a little bit and see if that doesn't get rid of it. Hope that makes sense.

Re: lifted handling issues
Can you post some pictures of the lift kit thats installed on your car? Might help explain the problem.

Re: lifted handling issues
If I knew for sure a spindle kit would fix the problem I would do it!
1) Are the tires out of round? should I swap the front wheels with the back? 2) bad steering box? there is a little play. no play in wheels when I shake them. 3) something bent in the front end? Can't see anything bent. 4) Is frame bent? Wheels line up pretty good with string and toe in 0-1/8" Last edited by Scott57; 11-01-2012 at 06:08 AM.. Reason: add |

Re: lifted handling issues
I wouldn't get rid of the cart yet. when I installed my lift kit, I found the toe in such a slight amount off that I didn't pay attention. The cart handled well at times, but then wandered a bit. I readjusted the toe in, and it's been fine since then. If you trade the cart, you're probably going to do all the mods to the new cart that you have on the old one.
