tire size
will i loose a noticable amount of torque if i go from 22 inch tires to 25inch tires. i do have a briggs 18 in the ole girl

The 25" tires are 11.3% bigger so you'll loose 11.3% torque. I have 24" tires on my G2 with the stock engine with a CPP torque spring and it will spin them in dirt.
