According to the Yamaha site it looks like you have an 89 G2A. Any pictures of it? Mine is a 92 G9A and they are pretty similar and great carts.

Is the carb toast or missing or does it just need a good cleaning?

Hope this helps you out some.

Heres a link to the yamaha site to look up the serial number.

Thanks Honorstick for your reply.I just got the cart and have not had time to take pictures yet.The carb could be cleaned but there is an adjustment screw thats missing that goes in the top of the carb pointing down.Im assuming its an air mixture screw but not sure. If i could find the screw i would try to just clean it up.
Do you think i could just buy the set screw?

Part # J38-14101-01-00 Might try site sponsors or do a Google search for best price. Note, some will be aftermarket replacements.

You could try giving some of the sponsors a call to see if they might have the screw or maybe try getting in touch with G1-G9 (one of the members on here) and see if maybe he knows of somebody that might have one. Could save you some money that way.
