There are too many variables to predict range.

Tall tires take more energy to turn, but travel further with each revolution.
Is the terrain flat, hilly or mountainous?
What AH is the battery Pack?
How old are the batteries?
How well have they been maintained?
How many souls on board?
How heavy is your foot?

I'm shooting for 30 Miles without going below 60% SoC with what I'm putting together, but I won't know until I actually get it on the road.

Well immediate torque for one. Going up hills with no lag time and nice speed. I can go climb some unbelievable grades without delay. You won't be disappointed. Complement with 4ga wires, and what I am yet to do, a HD solenoid.

If upping the pack voltage is foreseeable, go with the Super-Duty solenoid (400A Continuous/1000A Peak), it runs with 36v all the way up to 48V, so you won't have to change solenoids when you up the voltage.

I am THINKING of going with the DCX500PDS controller with the HD Solenoid and 2Ga cables. I mean, the cost difference isn't huge and being able to hit some light trails without worry would be awesome.

Thoughts?

Little update with my progress. Got the lift, wheels and tires, light kit, and flip seat kit installed as well as the body prep and paint done.

Had a small issue with some brittle leaf spring bushings on the back of the kit install, but already ordered the replacements.

99.9% sure I will be going with the DCX500PDS controller, HD solenoid and 2Ga cables as soon as ScottyB gets back from vacation. I'd rather upgrade once and not have to worry about it being a weak link in the future.

Attached are some pics of the progress.

Looking great! Love the flat black look. If I don't sell mine, I am going to do it to mine... What kind of paint did you use, and did you just mask off the body or did you remove it?

I used plastidip and just masked off the body. 500 amp controller, solenoid, cables and voltage meter should be here tomorrow hopefully!

I did take off the top, seat, and setback brackets as I was installing the rear flip seat at the same time
