Vintage EZGO Sunbird
Rebuilding an EZGO Sunbird. So far i'm not able to get power to the wheels and have a few questions. Facts: It is completely stock with (6) new 6v batteries. I'm using the same wire routing as the old owner. So far, I have only been able to get a clicking noise from the solenoid. I tried jumping posts, but still only clicking. In replacing the solenoid, I noticed the old one was intermittent and the new (used) one is consistent. Bought an old Melex to use for parts.
Questions: 1) anyone know where I can find a wiring diagram? 2) do these carts need a ground? Assuming I just tie the batteries into series, including motor, solenoid, accelerator board and F/R switch, correct? (I mean, it's not rocket science...) 3) anything I can do to test the motor before I replace? It looks very old and have never seen it move. 4) do I need int or con solenoid? Thx Much! |
