I live in Indiana
can't keep kids off the cart been raining here alot so they think it is a mud bogger belt is really slipping now. Got a new one just haven't had time to put it on yet. Nont really sure if the on there now is bad though cause it still looks pretty good to me. The clutch seems to be working fine don't really know what else to do.
How much was the new motor you put in not to be nosiey is there a web site where you got it.
Might put one in someday if I have to.

If the belt gets wet or muddy, the car will not move as well, or not at all. If it measures less than one and an eighth inches, it is considered worn out for a lifted cart. I have the stock skid plate on mine which kinda shields it from getting wet, but I don't drive in wet or muddy conditions often so... Also you need to check out whether you have the torque spring in the secondary clutch. That will help tons in performance!! The tensioner cable under the air filter box, also has to be there and adjusted correctly.

The motor in mine is getting tired, but I've driven mine over 5000 mi. since I got the car. You (as well as I) need to do a compression test to see where it is. That can give you an idea how healthy it is. Think Smallblock says 175# is very good (new) and below 160# is considered boarder line rebuild.

Keep reading the whole Yamaha site, much to learn about these things!!

I'll have to check on the tensioner cable not for sure. If so is it hard to adjust or is it something simple but i have to take out air box right to get to it .

Much easier to take out the box. The cable if its there, should have the nut at .80 gap, but 1/16 inch is close enough. If its not there, I made one with a bolt that works very well, and its gonna last forever! I have pictures all over this forum of it, not hard to find.

I had the same issues wth oil soaking my filter, I installed a small aluminum catch can bought from Ebay and routed the vent line into it. End of problem.
I think it cost about $20.

No, just vents the block without allowing anything to spill out.

The engines? Look for a 420cc engine at maxtool, harbor freight, home depot online. Vegas carts has a nice one too when he gets them back in stock. Typical one is $300 to your door.

Can't find your pics on this.
what air filter do you recommend it has a K&N right now.
Went to K&N site and put the numbers in and couldn't find it on there site.
Would it be wise to get rid of air box or does it have to have it.
