Default kf82 flooding

My brother in law has a 89 (I think) cc with a kf82 in it and it is flooding badly. He has changed the fuel pump and the carb and it is still flooding. There is gas coming out the carb into the air cleaner. Has anyone ever seen this or have any suggestions?

Sounds like the float is stuck.

Is the gas getting into the combustion chamber? Pop the plug out and see if it's wet after a "flood". Also check for spark, your engine could just be dumping fuel into the chamber but with no spark to light it, it's flooding out that way. You never told us if the motor runs at all.

Hey guys still having the same problem with this cart but now it is mine. the cart does run for a short time but then floods out loses power and dies. If I pinch off the gas line or vacuum pulse line just enough it will speed up and run better.
also still have a bit of an intermittent spark problem, but when it runs it sounds like it is running good.

Any help with either or both of these problems would be greatly appreciated!!!

I can't offer much help but I have a 97cc that is doing the same thing. I noticed that the 2 in-line fuel filters are completely full. I know that before when it ran good they were only about half full. Does this mean anything to anyone? Mine also has a brand new fe290 carb.
