Question EZGO constantly shutting off.

I have an 06 PDS 36 volt. Problem is, all is good for about 10 minutes then it starts losing speed and shuts down. I have to turn the key switch off and let it sit for a few minutes then it goes again. I've changed wires from motor to module with 2 gauge. Wires on battery are all new 4 gauge. The control module is getting warm and electric motor feels about the same temp.

I just intalled 22 inch tires but it was doing it before I installed the tires. Problem just got worse. What should I change next?

Controller, sounds like its going into thermal shutdown and with 22" tires it will only get worse until it won't work anymore.

So I need a controller? Do I go with a stock one or what?

You will want an aftermarket controller. I replaced my stock controller with an Alltrax 400 amp when it failed. Check out this website and scroll down about 1/2 way down and look for the Package #808 http://www.cartsunlimited.net/Custom_Options.html

Pkg 808 in an Ezgo PDS or DCS cart is the biggest bang for the low buck Chuck in the golf cart industry - The package includes controller and HD solenoid, your PDS cart will gain about 1/3 more torque (power) and top speed of 24 mph. Slightly less speed and more torque for DCS carts. 48v use will increase speed and torque by another 33% ! All for about $500. Cable upgrade recommended
