Default g 16 drags

have an g16 golf cart . when you let off gas feels like something is dragging.. had it churp rear wheel once I was at full throttle and let off gas... pulled rear wheels adjusted brakes.. changed rear end oil ..changed air filter ...it does sound like a humming noise coming from cart just cant tell where from ?

does the belt have play in it when it is at a stop or is it tight

the belt has play .. not sure if there is a bearing inside the clutch that could be gone out and causing drag..

gosh,, you got a hard one,,, if your back breaks are disingageing properly, then, i would jack up and spin the fronts,, it could be a front wheel dragging;; good luck. i have never heard of a starter dragging but maybe???

When you let off gas....if the brakes are off then I'd look at clutches they may not be backshifting. I'd clean and lube them.

if the belt has play, that should rule out the clutches, but to be sure take the belt off,,see how it rolls, if it still drags take off the starter belt, might be starter dragging,, if then it still drags and you are sure the wheels are free,, its gotta be something in rear end;;;;;;;;;;;; i am really thinking starter'

just thought i would mention, its real easy to take the belt off,, just peel it off the back clutch, ,, no tool required;;
