Default 86 g1 odd ball issue

So I just got this thing done(exterior) and I've been driving it quite awhile for some long distances. Well tonight I went to put.it away after a long trip and I'll stop and the engine keeps running. I switch it to off and it stops. Switch to reverse and it kicks on. All without ever hitting has pedal. Any help would be awesome.

Sounds like the pedal switch is stuck. If mine gets stuck I just stomp the pedal and it will free up. If not you can remove the access panel and push it a couple times, should free up. If its battery it has a potentiometer. It has a plastic piece that will loosen up and hold it open.

what sucks here is I don't belive the factory switch is available and the after market switches are know to be of poor quality.

It's just a normally open switch that closes when the pedal hits it. You can wire it to a toggle switch and put it anywhere. Turn it on and give it gas

It was def the switch. I lifted it up and saw the plastic nut so I detached pedal assembly. And reattached the switch. All is well now
