Rear end wont go smoothly into gear.
Hi there, I have an electric Hyandai shell that I have stretched to a 4 seater and converted to Gas (13 HP Honda copy) with a Club Car rear end.
Problem I have is that it doesnt go smoothly into gear when the engine is running, I can get it into gear but have to give the gear level a real pounding. No problem forward/reverse gear when the engine isnt running. Any ideas? There is a small lever on top of the of the axel, I have no idea what this if for, or maybe the way I setup the belt and variable drive is not optimal, thing is once it is in gear and running I can sit on the break no problem. Re: Rear end wont go smoothly into gear.
slow the engine down so the rear pulley is not turning.not sure
what you have for clutches, but the stock CC clutch has a roller in the center so the clutch will turn & not the belt at low RPMs BIGDAWG |

Re: Rear end wont go smoothly into gear.
Thanks Buddy,
I will give that a go, I have a non standard belt which is a little wider that is probably not helping. I will also put a stronger spring on the centrafugal clutch. At the moment there is no way in hell that the rear pulley will not turn. |
