Default Wont start or turn over

I have a 2000 carryall. I bought used last summer ran it around camp and it would start intermitly... So I change some micro switches and it got better but not much. So when I got it home I have been doning mods on it and doing some checking. Me and my brother traced it to the soleniod so he found an aftermarket (ford) one NOTHING. So I picked up another one last night put it in once again NOTHING. Is it possible that I truely have to get the O.. Club Car soleniod or is this something someone has come across? I have checked all grounds and they appear seccure checked other wires they look good no kinks battery is good and charged. Any Input would be apprieated. It does kick when we jump it with screwdriver.

You need the OEM solenoid and you need to check out the micros in the little black box if you have not already.

Just to add to scottys post the solenoid on these cart are a continous duty designed to be energized for long periods of time.
The "ford" type solenoids are designed to start engines and then turn off. They will not hold up.
They are also externally grounded through the mounting bracket and activate with one small post, the one with two small posts are not positive and ground posts.

Testing your solenoid:
Disconnect both small wires from your solenoid and run two jumper wires from the battery pos/neg to them, doesn't matter which post get pos or neg because it is not externally grounded.
If it spins over you have an issue other than the solenoid.
