Default 1996 CC FE290 cuts out on take off

I have a 1996 Club Car with a FE 290, when I taake off it cuts out then seems to run ok at higher speeds but when I decel to turn or something then push the gas to accelerate it cuts out again. I am thinking I need to pull the carb and clean it. Any suggestions? Thanks

The longest I have ran it was for about 15 minutes and it was still doing it. I just got it recently so have not used it much. Let me know what you think and thank you for the reply

Before you go pulling the carb apart you might want to go through the basics; Check the intake for leaks, EVERYWHERE !!! Airbox, filter, intake tube etc and don't forget the throttle butterfly, check it fot lateral play ( the bushings wear out) Run some Seafoam carb cleaner through the system at double strength. Cheap easy tests and good basic maintenance should have you running nicely in no time and please let us know how things go; good or bad ,we are here to help and cajole you.
