Pull the cover off the clutch, check for wear or damage, if ok, spray it down with wd or something and see if you can free it and regrease every moving part by hand.

I spayed it with wd40. When I go back up I will really inspect it better. My concern is the actual slowing of the cart. Like it was seizing . I can't remember if I tried turning the engine over by hand when it stopped or not.
I really didn't get a good inspection, memorial day weekend and the inlaws were up. |

If the clutch was seizing up, it would seem like it was loosing power. You need to check the rear clutch as well. It may be seized on the shaft. There is an inner collar on them that has to be greased at intervals as well.

Cool. I never really checked the rear. I installed the spring last year. Nice improvement.
The cart sat all winter until that weekend. Hopefully it is just really stuck! Thanks for the advice. |
