Wow what a nice Ford! And I like turbos too.

I'd get the cut sheave and the right torque spring or even the yamahauler spring. Some of the springs don't work well and cut top speed. They are not fun to put in either and you need the spacer with them. The cut sheave will give you a lower first gear more or less, the spring will keep engine rpm higher. Make sure the engine mounts are good so it can't torque over towards the trans. With above it should pull pretty hard with stock tires. If you lift and go larger diameter tires it will gear higher and not pull as well from a dead stop. I pull small block boats with mine though, and it has no spring or cut sheave but I did drill the weights and cut the ramps a little it has 22 tires. I'll be getting a cut sheave to run with a larger engine when you don't need the spring, but I put a 16 clone in and it gets up to rpm faster with the cut sheave takes off nice. A new belt works better too they are 1 3/16 wide at 1" they bog on high load takeoff.

Nice car!

I have a Yamaha to push my rear engine dragster. Plenty of power for that...should be fin e for your car. I recommend a push bar instead of a tow strap. It's easier for you to control your movement while being pushed through the pits rather than towed, and safer.
