Default magneto picture

I just started working on my yamaha g1 1984. I pulled the flywheel to clean it out. I disconected the magnetos and I don,t remember how to install them. Is there any pictures out there?

There is a diagram at TNT carts in the yamaha parts section, not sure if that helps.

There is also a wiring diagram in the stickies above should tell the wire colors.

Thanks, I will look at that site. I was able to figure it out once I looked at it a second time. Thank you for tour help!

I should have said if you want to mod the cart at all you can advance the timing, you move the plate opposite the flywheel direction in forward to advance timing. This can get you more speed in forward it will dog reverse a little. You file out the holes in the plate and rotate it a little iirc you can't move it that far anyway but it helps a little. Get the head cut to raise compression, you will notice a difference. Most shops will cut it pretty cheap unless you have a friend with a mill.
