Default Speed spring installed, impressed

Ordered speed spring Tuesday, came in today, installed it this evening on my 2009 Yamaha Drive. Instructions say 10 minute install, not very realistic. Rear seat made it a challenge to get to throttle, tight area. Cart went 22 by GPS before spring change, jumps right to 27 and occasionally see 28 for a moment on GPS now. Can't beat the speed increase for $30 w shipping.

Yes, the bushings are what took the longest. They started to crack from trying to line them up and I didn't buy any replacements. New ones may be more flexible but since its working I may not replace them.

I still say it's the best/cheapest and safest speed gain available. Thanks Tom/ CPP I find the best way to install is to completely back off and remove the 10mm nut and remove the rod. Then install the spring/bushings on the shaft and reinstall the govenor adjustment rod and nut.

Yes just a reminder to anyone doing the speed spring mod from ccp to be sure to order the spare bushings because they do crack easy especially with a cart with some age on it.

You guys have not found reduced input shaft life from putting a heavier spring in (less than 4 years)? I learned not to flip the spring (like you could with G2-G22) because of increaced wear, and that only gets 21-23 mph. maxing the adjuster nut only gets about 19 max. These numbers apply only to stock gear ratios.
