Default g1 refusing to turn over

ok i ll admit it, i suck with wiring! haha. i ve read the so your yami wont turn over thread but i feel lost. i tested to red/white and white wire at the accelerator switch and it passed that test. but when my cart is in reverse with the buzzer going, the buzzer cuts out when i hit the gas pedal and i cant get the generator to turn over.... wont work in forward either. no clicks either from solenoid. i did wrap a belt around the clutch and pulled and got a spark but its a pain trying to turn it over with the enticer head(higher compression) so can anyone help me out?!... btw its an 82 g1 gas

Before going any further, make sure your battery is fully charged and not defective. Then clean and tighten all high current connections (especially at the battery). After you are sure connections are clean and tight and battery is charged and tests OK, then troubleshoot if it won't turn over. Advise what you find. - RAY

The compression ratio on the enticer 250 isn't all that much higher than the G1. I don't think your problem has anything to do with the head, it's electrical. This was running, correct? I'm with the previous post, check the battery then bench test the starter/gen.

lot higher than the 82 year! haha but yes it is defiantly electrical. and it was running before, really strong too. i was trying to get it to start by wrapping a rope around the clutch but no dice... how do you go about doing that bench test?...

I'd take the starter/gen off and take it up to the local napa or az and they can bench test both the starter function and the generator function. They'll hook it up to a special vice that holds the starter and they connect power and ground to it, etc and can even run a belt to it to spin it and check the output. It's usually a free service.

Yes, it's a sign of a low battery or a loose connection. What's the battery voltage when you press the pedal?
