2 rebuilds 341
I rebuilt a 341 last week. It was run out of oil. Got it apart needed jug and rod and piston and some bearings. Got it all back together had about an hour run time around the shop. Comes back 5 days later with the governor rod removed and in the glove box. Guy says I don't know why but it runs 30 mph with that rod that we took off. Anyways here's the carnage he said the went about 5 miles to the store with the pedal to the floor. Wasn't even broke in yet.

Re: 2 rebuilds 341
Some people just don't get it....
I hope that he understood that removing the governor should/would void any kind of warranty. |
