Default Is flex additive added to paint neccesary????

I have a 96 ezgo plastic body and this is what my paint store recomends. adhesion promotor,urathane paint, fast reducer,top coat hardner , ratio 4-1-1 and 10%flex additive.i'v read all your comments and it sounds like im on the right track but nobody mentions flex additive!!! HELP!!

That was the first thing my painter said. He said it is what they use when painting rubber bumpers.

We also add flex to all the EZGO bodies we shoot.

is it ok to paint metal stuff with the flex additive in it? I want have some of each painted at the same time. Thanks

You may add flex addative if you like but in my professional opinion it is extra cost. The only part of a cart that I could think of that would flex enough to crack the paint would be the bottom corners of the rear fender. Like I said though that's just my opinion. I personally have never had an issue with out it.

Neither did I until my wife wrecked her van into my cart. Then it flaked off big time. Time repaint the front cowl.
