Ez-Go or Club Car?
I am in the market to buy a Golf Cart since I moved to a Golf Course and I am wondering which car is easier to modify, easier to find parts and parts costs is preferably lower.
This may be covered already but my search result did not find the answer. I need to have an electric cart (gas powered not allowed on the course) and I live in Arizona on flat ground. The course obviously has hills but nothing very large and carts are allowed on the road if they are equipped with lights, signals, horn and mirrors. I will be looking to increase the speed as much as possible when I get one since it will be used a lot on the road. I see a lift kit and tires in the carts future as well. Any preferences on brand? Your opinions are appreciated to help me in my decision and trying to determine the money to spend on a used one (looking for 48V). |

Well after spending a lot of time on here I still have not found answers I was hoping the BGW community could provide some insight to their experiences. Your suggestions are appreciated.

Re: Ez-Go or Club Car?
I'll share the little knowledge I know. A Club Car, with it's aluminum frame is better for "set it & forget it" type. The powder coated steel frame of an EZGO may require a lil more maintenance in cleaning. Not that I'd let any corrosives sit for too long. I think lifts are comparably priced between the two

Re: Ez-Go or Club Car?
EZGO is easier to lower...........I have a CC Precedent and it is lowered, but not as easy or as cheap.
I love the precedent though |

Re: Ez-Go or Club Car?
I just looked at a 2006 EZ-GO TXT Fleet
$2950 with old batteries and does 18 mph. I was hoping for a lower price and heard the CC has aluminum frame. To do, to do? |

Re: Ez-Go or Club Car?
How difficult would it be to upgrade to 48 volts? This appeared to be a SEPEX because it had the Forward/Reverse switch on the dash.
Anyone? |

Re: Ez-Go or Club Car?
I have an ezgo... I really like it... However, a good friend of mine just bought a 2009 Club Car... I must say if i were to be looking for a cart at thr moment i would choose the club car 48 all day long.. I am not sure buying a 36v and converting it would be real cost effective. The lift kits and other accessories are pretty much the same price... if you do get one and lift it.... go with the disk brakes.... you will then bypass any future brake problems... jmo... good luck...
Look at scottyb's cart.. |
