Also checked I have the 49.9 volts at terminal 1 on the control when the pedal is depressed and also check the wiper that tests good

I think You guys are have some miscommunication....
All OBCs provide a cart lockout function as part of the charging function. In the Series carts, the OBC provides the low side of the Solenoid connection through the OBC Yellow wire directly to the Solenoid. Go ahead and run the Yellow wire from the solenoid small post directly to pack negative or B-, that will by-pass the solenoid lockout function. Other than a short when You were testing the Solenoid, the only other thing that can cause the transistor in the OBC (that controls the Solenoid low side) to fail, is a bad or missing diode on the Solenoid coil. You said You tested the resistance of the Multi-Step throttle, but You did not say how, which is important. The correct way to do it is to put the FNR in forward, disconnect pins #2 and #3 from the controller and measure the resistance directly on those wires (Green and Yellow) as You press the pedal. You should get approx 5kΩ-0. If the resistance range is right, put the green wire #2 back, set your meter to 20vDC and measure the voltage on the Yellow wire (to B-) as You press the pedal. You should get approx 0-5v. |

Awesome thanks that's what I was thinking yes it is 0-5k with the pedal I didn't check the voltage there though when I jumped the yellow wire to -battery pack the solenoid engages but still no movement

If You measured 0-5kΩ then Your diagram does not match what Crash posted and the colors of those wires are not Green and Yellow, they are black and white.
How many wires go into your Multi-Step pot? |
