Default LOT of oil in air filter case

I know I'm a newb to the site. I am not trying to start threads for threads sake, but identifying problems as they are. Thank you for your patience.

I have a lot of oil in air filter case when I run cart. Should there be a filter in the pcv valve? Took valve cover off and no filter .Also, sho305 said the air filter box should be tight. I have a 5/16 hole in bottom of box and bracket underneath. Could not feel burs on bracket so I am assuming it is a stock situation.

Can anyone tell me why I am getting such a oil feedback?

Did you just change the oil?
I ask cause if you put more than one quart int the motor it will puke back into the air filter

Overfull oil condition in crankcase. Use 1 qt only. A failed needle valve in carb or bad fuel pump are top causes.

Fuel pumps are expensive. Is there a way to check if it is bad?
