workhorse 1200xl springs bottomed out
My new to me workhorse is riding on the bumpstops. Thought the springs were bad so I replaced them with a new set of 4 leaf springs, and bushings. They looked identical to old springs. Cart rides a little higher, but still bottoms out on the slightest bump. Even when frame is off ground, only about 1-2 inches between stops and axle.
Frame has long bumpstops welded in. Everything looks stock. I figure it's supposed to be on stops when fully loaded. I'll post some pics here soon. Figure someone already noticed or fixed this. Did a quick search. Thanks, Dennis |

Sorry I can't help but I have never seen a workhorse with the double seat backs or that type of box.

Pretty sure seats were replaced. Double seat would bolt on. Box looks factory, I've seen couple of pics of other steel boxes installed. Just ordered a set of air shocks, I'll post up party number if they work.

Your cart appears to have same box, both are slanted at front, and sides appear to be same.

I figured it was just the angle, just needed a better pic.

Re: workhorse 1200xl springs bottomed out
After looking through Monroe shock book, and measuring, I came up with air shock MA705, which after searching more here, is what everyone else did, lol.
Only modification I did was to clearance the bump stop mount for the larger diameter air shock. It might had been okay, but figure I'd trim it a little. Cart rides a lot better, I've got a decent amount of air in them to get some shock travel, 100psi. I may just cut the back half of leaf springs to get more travel, and use air shock to support all the weight. |
