Default G2 voltage regulator.

I have always had troubles with my voltage regulators. When running the cart it has about 16.5-17 charging bolts. When I’m done with long rides my battery hisses as it gets to many volts. Anyone know of a reliable voltage regulator for the Yamaha g2. I’ve done both the stock one and one off of an ezgo as pictured but it seems as though both work for a little bit then get fried. Any help is appreciated!

These are the two I’ve tried

The original "Hatatchi" VR's were adjustable. Remove the cover, loosen the jam nut and turn the screw in or out to adjust. Still have your old one?

After adjust, put the cover back on & test charge volts. Oddly enough, having the cover on changes things a little.
