Default So I was really stupid yesterday and did something not so smart

We were on the way to the deer lease yesterday and I had my cart on the trailer backwards. After about 30 minutes of driving we stopped at Buccees and I got out of the truck to notice that the seat had came off and landed on the gas pedal (key was left on) and the cart was at wide open throttle and had smoked and melted the belt off of the cart. I was not so happy. I had an extra belt and put it back on but the clutch has some of the melted, burnt rubber inside and not letting it engage and disengage correctly and smoothly. Is there any way to get all of this out or should I run it and eventually it will work itself out? Thanks.

Now that sounds like my luck, sometimes you just have to shake your head.

They are pretty easy to take apart and clean, I would probably lean towards that, but it may work itself out.

are there no hinges on your seat? Mine will not come off ever when lifted without a lot of work due to the way the hinges are angled into the slots.

You're not stupid, you're human. Clean it up and learn from it.

A nice sharp putty knife for the big pieces and scotch-bright pad for the rest should clean it right up.

Acetone and scotch bright pads.
Go to a rental store and buy floor buffer pads
a lot cheaper than those little pads.

No doubt. I'd also be glad the engine didn't grenade with no load at WOT.
