Clutch engagment issuse?
In the process of helping my brother with a clone swap in a 95 carryall 2. We have most of the work buttoned up and took it out for a test run but cart is slow. Here's what I observed: The drive and driven clutches are always spinning even at idle, revving up in neutral the clutches engage fully, driving around(5mph) at full throttle no clutch engagement. I'm at a loss right now as I'm not familiar with the clutch operation. I have searched and didn't come across an answer. Thanks in advance.

Re: Clutch engagment issuse?
Check for a stripped hub on one of your axles or a missing keyway under your driven (rear) clutch..

Ok I went and jacked cart up, put in gear and clutches work properly and wheels spin. Is there something I'm missing?

Like crash said, striped hub, drive it on the ground and look at the axle to see if its spinning faster that the wheel.

Re: Clutch engagment issuse?
is it possible for a C.C. to strip a hub? that is something i have never seen on a C.C. now thats not to say it can,t happen...................always something new and i would be very interested in knowing what you find out and if it is a hub....did the carryall have a splined hub like e-z go? and not the axle that was splined in the rearend and the hub as part of the other end? or am i misunderstanding this???.......................................
