Default 2002 ezgo pds

I have a 2002 EZGO PDS with new batteries, new controller, new speed sensor and rebuilt motor. Yesterday I got it home from shop and washed cart and it wouldn't move after that. The controller does not have the cover on it so I did not spray under seat. The reverse buzzer constantly buzzes and gets louder in reverse. The solenoid doesn't click. Ive replaced the solenoid and still nothing. I tried to use the diagnostic procedure but cant get it to beep when I do it. Any ideas???

Might be two problems.

One side of Beeper is wired directly to B+, so all it needs is the slightest hint of a return path to B- to sound off. Some wet wiring in dash might provide that path.

Unplug J1 on controller. Does beeper shut off?
If so, the problem is controller related.
If not, it is in the wiring harness.

-----------
Solenoid not clicking.

Could be any of a dozen things.
First thing I'd check for is B+ on Pins 4 and 5 of J1.

Then I'd go down the list of all the pins that have to have B+ on them for the controller to energize the solenoid.

Are you sure it's bad? Despite my best efforts to keep critical components dry, often when I clean my cart, it get's flaky. I try and keep most things dry, but then I hit them with a shop-vac blower, or leaf blower, to dry them.
