Default Windshield question . . .

So - I need to replace my cracked windshield in my TXT. I've noticed on some websites that there's a different windshield for 2 and 4 passenger carts. Anyone know why? Is it because the roof frame is changed when adding an extended roof? Also - I'm thinking about getting the "impact resistant" (1/4") windshield - is it worth it?

Here's my cart - any guess on the correct windshield?

Thanks!

no idea why but see they are .. measure yours and order the right size
38-7/8" top width, 40-7/8" bottom width and 29" tall
38-3/8" top width, 40-7/8" bottom width x 33.50" tall

if you cracked it once i'd go with the high impact

Well - the plot thickens.

Measured my windshield - It's 32 1/2" tall. 38" wide at the top, and 41" at the bottom.

I've also got conflicting info now on the different available windshield sizes . . .

Franklin Golf Carts has: 38 3/8" Top Width x 40 3/4" Bottom Width x 33 1/2" Tall.
http://www.franklingolfcar.com/EZGO-...p/win-1010.htm
Buggies Unlimited has: 38.3125" top x 40.75" bottom x 30.5625" tall
http://www.buggiesunlimited.com/golf...WND%20EZ2%20CT
DIY Golf Carts: 38-7/8" top width, 40-7/8" bottom width and 29" tall
http://www.diygolfcart.com/EZGO-TXT-...p/ez-cl-ws.htm
And - of course - the ShopEZGO website doesn't have sizes.

Clear as mud. Argh.

Thanks for the helpful information Yurtle . . .

I spoke with the folks at EZ Go - since I've got the 80" long extended roof (2x2 / rear seat added) - then the 33" windshield is appropriate for my cart.

They told me the standard 29" windshield fits carts with the standard 54" long roof.
