Replacing the TCI unit fixed it, runs like new. A mouse had chewed into the high voltage cable. I wrapped the new one with glass electrical tape. Thanks for the help!!

Thanks for the comeback on the conclusion & glad you got it fixed . Did you ever get a chance to confirm the "off" state of the stop relay ?? (N.O or N.C. ?) - RAY

With the stop relay unplugged, there is still spark....so it is N.O. Seems weird to me but that is the way it is!!!

Funny story.....Had a G29 (The Drive) come into the shop last week for "no run situation". Customer said good spark and fuel. Checked compression-175 lbs. Removed and cleaned carb, still no fire? Checked spark with dynamic tester---no spark? Checked all leads, tried a new relay, no spark, tried new voltage regulator, no spark. So in my infanite wisdom, removed engine and installed new TCI. Still no spark Unplugged relay-spark Called another Yamaha service manager and our regional Yamaha service manager for idea's...they had none. Took a break from the car and started over. What I found was 1 of the 2 black (ground wires) on the wire harness that plugs into the engine stop relay had been chaffed and just a couple of strands were still attatched. Fixed the wire and regained spark Then had to pull the engine and replace the old TCI Sometimes.....I hate golf cars
