Default 2 Stroke Problem

Okay here's the problem:

I have a 89 GXT Turf Vehicle (Tuff 1 ?) - after running for a while (motor's nice and warm) if you stop and then try to go again the motor will not spin. The starter will 'rock' the engine - switching from fwd to rev - but not spin it. If I take the plug out and press the pedal the motor spins fine. Put the plug back in and it's off we go - for a while anyway. If you stop for anything its the same problem again.

I just had the starter/gen rebuilt, the battery seems like it is fully charged, and it has a new belt (starter belt).

It's almost like I need a compression release valve or something???

Any sugestions??

In your post you said " I had the starter rebuilt " , I would go back to the starter man it's supposed to turn it , may be somthing a little off there .
Of cource it would go without saying to recheck 'all' of the connections .

I'm thinking more of a motor problem. The starter does turn. It will 'rock' the engine. If I hold the pedal down long enough it will try to slip on the new belt. It's almost like the motor is locked - until I take the plug out.

With it hot and locked up take the belt off and hit the gas and see if the starter spins. If so try to manually turn the motor over by hand to see if it will turn that way...
