Jet size.
1996 GXT runs really strong on half choke. Carb is spotless, no contaminates, etc. How big can I go at sea level?

I highly doubt if your problem is the jet size. Sounds like a float / carb / intake issue - Otherwise that cart would have always ran poorly since 1996 with the stock jet.

Sorry, should have been more specific. Purchased used, was really slow. Driven clutch was stuck, fixed that. Major change in accel. Cleaned all of the fuel system...spotless. I found if I gave it some choke on take off it would fly. Not worried about MPG, just want to know how fat to make the main jet.

ezgo manual recommends a jet size of 88 or 90 below 3000 ft elev.and a 86 for 3000 to 6000 ft. and a jet size of 84 for 6000 to 10000 ft hope this helps GENO
