Re: Clogged muffler causing weak engine??
Back in the 70's we raced two cycle motorcycles we would have burn out the muffler/spark arrestor every couple of months. this was from running gas mixed w/ 2 cycle oil. We would burn it with a propane tank or mapp. Most of the buildup would be in the 1st turn of the header and the muffler, good luck with it. If the gas is old , throw it out. gas filter old? good oil? no cracked fuel line? New Plugs? hope it helps

Re: Clogged muffler causing weak engine??
Tonyton,
Thanks, I have done all the normal suspected issues, fuel pumping out of the pump, new plug, compression is 120 psi, new fuel lines, no leaks in engine case, new drive belt (old one was shot). The muffler was just my last effort before tearing into the carb. |
