EZGO Gas-rocker arms upgrade??
pulling apart a350 for rebuild , I noticed that the rocker arms are beat to death. really bad. now I understand why you need to check/adj these valves all the time. the rockers keep going out of spec,s. does anyone make aftermarket, harder, more durable rockers for these? If so, where?
Thanks, Tomy |

OEM will be the best option for you. Your engine must have had some serious abuse prior to you owning.

Re: EZGO Gas-rocker arms upgrade??
Yea, it's a golf course workhorse, no tellin. I got after 2 years of ^&%* some where else. Yea, even the adj. screws are mushroomed on the contact side. I can't believe it. Normal conditions don't cause this? Correct? Thanks, tony

Re: EZGO Gas-rocker arms upgrade??
I've never seen them as bad as your describing. my guess would be someone kept them adjusted wrong for that to happen

Re: EZGO Gas-rocker arms upgrade??
OK thanks. I was hopeful this wasn't "the weak link" in these motors. I cant believe it myself. they are trashed! I'll order OEM. Thanks guys!

The only "weak link" I can describe is the previous owner(s)

FYI! EZ-GO ROCKER ARM UPGRADE
EZGO (Robin Engine) finally upgraded the rocker arms. They are using the latest MCI style rocker arms on all previous robin engines. More info and pics tomorrow!! |

Re: EZGO Gas-rocker arms upgrade??
For them to be that bad they would have to be adjusted and kept way open and would actually "hammer" themselves to death.
Check the other components that they mate against for the same kind of wear. So sad some people call themselves mechanics.............. |
