Default Need to add a 2" Hitch Receiver to 09 ST

I have a brand spanking new 09 EZ-GO ST 2+2, no customizations, straight from the factory. I want to add a trailer hitch so that i can tow a small utility trailer or jon boat. I have heard that because this model has the rear seat, the floorboard underneath the rear seat is not sturdy enough to mount anything standard - so you have to mount it further toward the middle. The dealer suggested an extension, i think he was referring to something like whats on the bottom of this page:

Can anyone attest to this or offer an alternative?

The standard E-Z-GO receiver will attach to the ST 2+2. The problem is that you will need an extended hitch to clear the foot rest assembly for the rear seat.

Thanks. So, can you get an "extended hitch" to clear the rear seat assembly, and from where?

Hey man, I can make you whatever you need. I offer an extended neck hitch for a 1.25" receiver:

PM or email me and I can get you going.
