2015 YDREX6 controller?

New guy here - sorry I didn't do the introduction post. Been lurking while fixing up a couple of gas carts. I just got the chance to buy one of the 2015 lease returns from my golf club really cheap. It's in perfect condition but SLOW.

Now, I'm traveling and trying to get a parts plan together. The model number is YDREX6. Can anyone confirm that this means it is AC and if so, are there any aftermarket controller options? Thanks

Google showed a recall - make sure your cart is not involved or has been fixed.
2016 Model

The DRIVE A.C. YDREX6 AC JC3-001701 through 001900

Any recalls that have been done should be indicated by white & red paint-pen dots by the serial number sticker (if the dealer followed the directions). White paint dot was for brake cable inspection/repair recall, red was for throttle spring recall. Some only called for the brake cable check, but I think that one would have called for both.

Thanks for the replies. I got home last night and took a look at the cart. I had thought that any YDREX6 was going to be AC but sure enough, mine has a big ol DC MOTOR tag right on the motor. I suppose this is good news for me in terms of upgrading the controller on a budget!
