Could it be that the motor is tired? Does this cart have the crappy Hitachi motor in it?

How can I tell what motor is in it? Is there writing on the motor?

My Yamaha Drive was 10-11mph stock, so it's probably your controller. I think you can either pull it, and put in an Alltrax or maybe talk to your Yamaha dealer and they can put a code in it. I opted for the Alltrax.
