Default 95 low speed problems

I have a 95 gas ez-go that when you are trying to go slow it spits and sputters. Can someone tell me what might be the problems. Thanks

May be the valves need adjustment or It might be the ignition cutting off and back on due to something like a cable adjusted wrong.
