85 EZ-GO power keeps cutting out

My Golf cart seems to run then cut out. I've recently changed all rubber fuel lines (dry rotted) and the in-line fuel filter. This 2-cycle does not have an oiler. I mix the oil in the gas (1oz per gallon). When looking at the Fuel filter, the bowl in not fuel with gas (not sure if it should be though). When I pull the line coming from the fuel pump going to the carb and hit the pedal, fuel comes out. Not sure where to go next. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Our fuel filter isnt full of fuel either its about 1/2 full. To me it sounds like the fuel intake line in the carb may have trash in it. May need to check the carb especially since you said that the lines were rotted.
