Umax Value?
I have an opportunity to buy this cart. The seller wants me to make an offer, the engine is seized. That is all of the info. that I have at the moment. I am awaiting the year model and any other specs. he may have on it.
If someone could estimate the value on it I would appreciate it. Thanks |

Re: Umax Value?
I bought the same cart with a bad engine for 500, it was in a lot worse shape than that one though. I would probably start at 700 and go 1000, max. Those engines are not to hard to rebuild, but I ended up having to put a new crankshaft and cam in mine in addition to normal rebuild (pistons, rings, boring) so that really increased the amount spent on the motor. Good Luck! If you don't want it let me know. I would buy another in a heart beat! Be aware that after market stuff (lifts, etc) are hard to come by on those....

Re: Umax Value?
Mine gets used around small acreage, hauling tools and feed. Put a 6" lift (adapted) and 10" rims with 22" tires and has enough Umph for that kind of work. If I had it to do over I would Big Block it from the start. If you purchase this one I would try to find a friend handy with small engines to tear it down and see what's wrong with it. If it's more than piston and rings you will quickly have 700-800 dollars in the motor. A complete new 18hp BB kit is 2k and you will smile every time you crank it up.

Re: Umax Value?
You got a great deal----I'd really think about the big-block kit.
