just wondering if someone know how to adjust the governer on a g16
just got a 2001 gas yamaha g16 its seems to take off good then slows down while driving i just got it. i picked it up from a golf course the onwer said it set on the slowest speed just wondering it anybody can give me ideal on how to get some more speed out of it

The easiest way is to remove the "service panel lid" under the sweater basket. On top of the transaxle you will see the govenor lever. There is a 10mm nut on a theaded rod, turn the nut in (clockwise) to enclease speed. Another great option is to order www.cartpartsplus.com (site sponsor and Tom is a "hoot" to talk to) "speed spring"....you will not be disapointed
